Pavel Lubimtsev
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation
Graduated from B.V. Schukin Theater School in 1978, course of A.G. Burov, and was invited to Leningrad Academic Theater of Comedy directed by P.N. Fomenko.
In Leningrad P.E. Lyubimtsev worked until 1982 and in that time played more than 10 roles in performances based on plays by T. Wilder, V. Belov, V. Korostylev, L. Zorin, S. Laskin, E. Braginsky, E. Ryazanov, and other authors.
He was an assistant director in performances staged by L.A. Dodin, P.N. Fomenko.
Since 1982 till the present time he has been working in Moscow State Academic Philarmonic Hall as an artist-reciter. In repertoire of P.E. Lyubimtsev there are more than 20 solo programs based on the works by A.S. Pushkin, M.A. Bulgakov, O. Wilde, P.P. Ershov, K.G. Paustovsky, I.L. Andronnikov, V.Ya. Lakshin, and others.
He is an author and anchorman of television programs: “Naturalist Travel” (from 1999 to 2004 and in 2006), “City Travel” (from 2005 until now), “Old Playbill” (2005).
In 1988 started probation in B.V. Schukin Theater School as a teacher of Department of Artistic Art.
In 1991 he became a teacher of Department of Artistic Art. In 2001 he became a docent; in 2005 – head of Department of Artistic Art.
In the course of work in Vakhtangov School he prepared dozens of passages, conducted classes in the first years of study, participated in the work on graduation performances: “Naples – a City of Millionaires” by E. de Filippo (1992), “The King’s Hunt” by L. Zorin (1994), “Time and the Conways” by J.B. Priestley (1996), “What a Pudding!” (“The Matchmaker”) by Th. Wilder (1999), “Mary Stuart” by F. Schiller (2003).
Independently staged graduation performances: F.A. Koni “Bridegroom by Attorney” (1998), O. Wilde “The Importance of Being Earnest” (2002), S. Marshak “No Cross, No Crown” (2003) – with participation of L.S. Voroshilova.
