Honoured Culture Worker of Russian Federation A theatre worker, actor, director, writer Sergey Petrovich Kantur was born on 15 June 1926.He worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre from 1965 till 1987.He graduated from the Faculties of Drama and Directing of GITIS, for many years worked as a director (1963-1987) and the Deputy Director (1974-1987) of the Vakhtangov Theatre.Since 1988 — the director of the concert programmes at the State Kremlin Palace.In 1997 he edited a lyric tale “Truska” — a touching story of the cheerful life and the tragic death of the domestic pussy cat.Sergey Petrovich Kantur died on 30 June 2007.Plays, staged at the Vakhtangov Theatre
