Yuri Nikolaevich Potemkin was born on 26 January 1948.In 1972 he graduated from the Schukin Theatre School, teacher — Anatoliy Borisov.He worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre from 1972 till 1979.Nowadays Yuri Potemkin prefers acting in Western films, as European directors managed to use more fruitfully his unquestionable artistic talent. At the same time he works as a yardman in the “colony” of British diplomats on Kutuzov Prospect, Moscow.
