Presentation of the book “Hello and Goodbye”.
The publisher «Navona» and the Eug. Vakhtangov theater are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the book “Hello and Goodbye”, the output of which is dedicated to the anniversary of the sudden death of its author, a famous theater critic Natalia Kazmina (1956 – 2011).
This bulky volume of selected works of a conscientious chronicler of our everyday theater life, covers the key events of the last quarter of a century.
Among its heroes – Oleg Yefremov, Viktor Gvozditsky, Michael Tumanishvili, Robert Sturua, Lyudmila Maksakova, Vasili Lanovoy, Yevgeny Knyazev, Konstantin Raikin, Valery Fokin, Henrietta Yanovskaya, Kama Ginkas, Michael Levitin, Dmitri Krymov, Yuri Pogrebnichko, Yuri Butusov …. In one word, very different theater people. Their human and creative destinies appear in the organic unity of the past and present, and as a result we get a coherent plot, sealed with natural intonation, that makes us have credibility to the author.
Kazmina is remarkable and as a portraitist, and as a companion, attentive to individual needs, and not to the person’s starring image. She does not look at fashion, at what people think and say nowadays. She never goes with the pack. If there is something or someone she does not accept (for instance, the evolution of the present Arts Theatre), she speaks about it with disarming directness and with inoffensive arguments.
The presentation of the book – is an occasion to call to memory of a colleague, who had gained appreciation of the professional community. Will share their memories: Michael Levitin, Kama Ginkas, Lyudmila Maksakova, Basil Lanovoy, Yevgeny Knyazev, Pavel Lyubimcev,Valery Semenov.
Presentation will be held on November 26, 2012 in the foyer of the Vakhtangov Theater, at 14.00. (Main entrance of the theater).
