June 11 to 13 the tour of the Vakhtangov Theater was held in Geneva .
“UncleVanya” by A. Chekhov, directed  by Rimas Tuminas will be performed for 3 times on the stage of Carouge theatre.The first-nighttook place on September 2, 2009, immediately having won
thesympathy of  theate criticsand of the audience. The performance is awinner of the “Crystal Turandot” theatre prize in
the nomination “The bestperformance of the season 2009 – 2010”, the
International Stanislavsky Theater Award (2010),  the Annual Theatre Award of
the Theatre Union of Russia “Hit of the Season” (2011),  the National
Theatre Award  “Golden Mask” in the category “Best Performanceof
the Year” (2011).The audiencesof many cities of  Russia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia,
Latvia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey and Great Britain applauded to
the performance.Concluding the 92season, the Vakhtangov Theatre, at the invitation of the
Geneva International Lomonosov Centre by the Moscow State Universityunder the
direction of Tamirlan Hasanov,will present itsone of the most loved performancesin
Switzerland.
