By a Decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia L.Tibilov, the USSR People’s Artist V. Lanovoy was awarded the “Order of Friendship” for his great personal contribution to the development of friendship between peoples and active involvement in helping the people of South Ossetia, involved into  the Georgian aggression in August 2008.
