Vakhtangov Theatre has completed its Tbilisi tourwith the production of “Uncle Vanya”. The performance was included in the program of the Georgian International Festival of Arts and was performed twice. Both performances were sold out and ended up with a standing ovation of the auditorium. The Festival director has expressed his intention to invite the Vakhtangov theatre with another big tour next year. The Jury of the International Festival of Arts awarded the Vakhtangov Theatre’s “Uncle Vanya” with the most honorable prize – a prize “For excellence in arts”. The recipients of the prize are Rimas Tuminas and Sergey Makovetskiy. The awarding ceremony took place on the stage of the Griboyedov Theatre,  where the Vakhtangov company was performing.
