On May 26, 2015 a meeting of theatre directors of Moscow took place on the New Stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre. The event was arranged in the framework of the activity of the Russian Guild of Theater Directors and the Russian Theater Directors Fund.

The Theater Directors Fund was established due to the efforts of Valery Fokin, Chairman of the Russian Theater Directors Guild. The Fund sets as its goals the following aspects: implementation of programs and activities aimed at helping Russian theater directors, support of development of young talents in the field of directing and protection of the professional reputation of Russian theatre directors. The Foundation has gained support of the Social Security Department of Moscow.

Rimas Tuminas encouraged the initiative by having proposed to hold the Theatre Directors meeting on the New Stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre.

The event was attended by Valery Fokin, Rimas Tuminas, Kirill Krok, Yury Shlikov, Aleksei Kuznetsov, Eugeny Karelskikh, Eugeny Kamenkovich, Ruben Simonov, Yuri Joffe and other prominent members of the directing and acting spheres. Representatives of the of Theatre Union figures of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Department of Social Protection of Moscow.
