October 23 to 30, the VIII Open Youth Theatre Festival “Vivat, theater!” takes place in Tambov. Eleven theatres are invited to participate in the cultural event.

The professional jury of the festival will be headed by its permanent chairman – Eleanora Makarova, Head of Сritics of the Theatre Union of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Culture, PhD. The jury consists of such well-known persons as Maya Romanova – theater critic of “Radio Rossia”, theater critic Vyacheslav Dyachenko, film and theater actors.

In addition to the festival jury, the works traditionally will be evaluated by independent children’s and youth jury consisting of school pupils and students – participants of various creative competitions.

Vakhtangov Theater brings the production after Nikolay Gogol’s “Marriage”, directed by Sergei Kutasov.

The cast of the production: Honored Artist of Russia Mikhail Vaskov, Alexandra Blednaya, Olga Gavrilyuk, Honored Artist of Russia Elena Ivochkina, People’s Artist of Russia Yevgeny Karelskikh, Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Forostenko, Honored Artist of Russia Vadim Alexandrov, Vladislav Gandrabura and others.

The performance will take place on October 26 at 3 p.m. on the stage of the Youth Theatre of Tambov.
