The nominees of the past theater season for the Russian National Theatre Award and Festival were announced at a press-conference at the K.Stanislavsky and Vl. Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater.

“To form the list of nominees, our experts have watched 774 different productions. 109 performances were included into the longlist of the festival , 45% of them come from various regions of Rissia. The shortlist included 72 performances of 54 theaters with 212 nominations”, – said Maria Revyakina.

Vakhtangov Theater’s production of “Flight” directed by Yury Butusov (by M. Bulgakov) has received seven nominations at once:

DRAMA / BEST DIRECTOR – Yuri BUTUSOV

DRAMA / BEST ACTOR:

Victor Dobronravov – KHLUDOV,

Sergei Epishev – Golubkov,

Artur Ivanov – Tcharnota.

DRAMA / work of the set-designer – Alexander Shishkin.

DRAMA / work of Lighting Designer – Alexander Sivaev.

XXII Festival “Golden Mask” will be held in Moscow from February to April 2016. The awarding ceremony of the Russian National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” will be held on April 16, on the stage of the K.Stanislavsky and Vl.Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre.

The “Golden Mask” Award was established in 1993 by the Theatre Union of Russia as a professional award for the best work of the season in all spheres of theater.
