A tradition to arrange “crystal balls” on the stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre in honor of the laureates of the Crystal Turandot Theatre Award dates back to 2010.
Eugene Knyazev has a longstanding relationship with “Crystal Turandot” Theatre Award: for already 10 years, starting from 1995, he was an irreplaceable Master of the awarding ceremonies, as Kalaf brilliantly solving the riddles of a capricious Princess.
Vasiliy Lanovoi, Lyudmila Maksakova, Viktor Sukhorukov, Viktor Dobronravov, Nonna Grishaeva, Alexander Oleshko and many others will take part in festive evening, on December 28.
The theatre award “Crystal Turandot” was established in 1991. This is the first independent creative award of Russia, which is awarded at theatrical season-end to the most distinguished masters of the theatres of Moscow, for almost a quarter of a century. The first actress to win the award was the People’s Artist of the USSR Yulia Borisova.
The organizer of the award is a producer, director, and philanthropist Boris Belenkiy.
