December 26, 2015 the long-awaited premiere of the children’s production “Peter Pan” after a tale by James Barrie took place at the Vakhtangov Theatre. The premiere of “Peter Pan” continues the “PARADE OF PREMIERES”, coinciding with the festive opening of the New Stage of the theatre.

Musical fragments by The Beatles, Queen, the band “Auktsion” feature in the production.

It is a fairy tale, where the stars speak, where people fly, where the strange behavior of the characters is normal. The hero of the story is a boy called Peter Pan, who does not want to grow up. He decides to run away from home and live among the fairies in Kensington Park.

The cast consists of Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute students of the fourth year (artistic director of the course – Alexander Koruchekov).

As well as in the children’s production of “Puss in Boots” by Charles Perrault (directed by Vladimir Ivanov), the cast of Peter Pan will be changed annually, making way for new graduates of the Shchukin Theatre Institute.
