On the 20th of November 2017 we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the great Russian actor, Mikhail Ulyanov. Mikhail Ulyanov was not only brilliant and recognized but one of most beloved and esteemed Russian actors, National Artist of the USSR, Lenin Prize and USSR State Prize Laureate. The gallery of his roles is long and difficult to imagine: from solders to marshals, from Communist party leaders to Roman knights…

Mikhail Ulyanov acted as the Artistic Director of the Vakhtangov Theatre during very difficult years – 1987 – 2007. He managed to save the Vakhtangov theatre, to keep its team and to make a wise choice of the new Artistic Director, who has been running the theatre since 2007.

We recollect Mikhail Ulyanov and celebrate our love, respect, adoration and fidelity to this remarkable man.
