PEER GUNT nominated for the Golden Mask Award
‘Peer Gunt’ is our premiere of the 2019-2020 season. The production is directed by Yury Butusov after one of the most famous plays by Henrik Ibsen.

- DRAMA/BEST DIRECTOR – Yury Butusov
- DRAMA/BEST ACTRESS – Eugenia Kregzhde for the role of Mother
More about the Golden Mask:
The Golden Mask is a National Theatre Award established in 1993 for productions in all genres of theatre art. It is also an all-Russian Performing Arts Festival that takes place in Moscow each spring, presenting the most significant performances from all over Russia.
The Golden Mask National Theatre Award and Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.
The festival of performances nominated for the Golden Mask Award is a major forum, representing a full and objective picture of the Russian theatrical life to professionals and the public at large.
The Golden Mask Ceremony is one of the most important cultural events of the season in Russia. It is widely covered by Mass-Media and broadcasted by TV channels.
