Since the lockdown in March’2020 because of COVID-19 pandemic, we have been making many of our most popular past and even recent productions free to view online.

We’ve officially closed our 99th season on May 31. But we’ll stay in touch. For the summer holidays we’ve selected over 26 productions for broadcast, 2 per week. That would make 13 weeks. As you already know, “13” is a lucky number for the Vakhtangov Theatre. And we wish the best of luck and strong health to everyone!

The records are not equipped with subtitles. Yet, we’d like to recommend the dance shows directed by Anzelica CHOLINA to our foreign spectators:

And, perhaps, a classic antic tragedy directed by our artistic leader Rimas TUMINAS. It’s in Russian and Greek but the plot is so famous that everyone would understand it without translation.
