Georgy Ivanov

Honored Artist of RussiaGeorgy Ivanov was born in 1919.In 1942 he graduated from the Theater School. BV Shchukin.He served in the theater of Eugene. Vakhtangov from 1938 to 1949.G. Smith is an actor, theater, party and state leaders.Since 1949 he worked in the Moscow City Committee, at the height of his career he become the first deputy head of Moscow City of Culture (1955-57).In the 1958-1960 – Director of the Central TV studio, then first secretary of the Sverdlovsk Kazakh Communist Party in Moscow (1961-65) and Deputy Chairman of State Committee for Radio and Television in the USSR (1965-70).In the 1970-1976 worked as the head of the Office of theaters USSR Ministry of Culture.In the 1976-1979 – Director General of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater and the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.From 1979 to 1987 – Deputy Minister of Culture of the USSR.In recent years Ivanov worked as an editor and consultant in the Russian State Broadcasting Company “Ostankino”.He was awarded orders and medals.Georgy Ivanov died in 1994.
