Natalya Kovaleva

Natalya Kovaleva graduated from the Russian Institute for Theatre Art (GITIS) in 1979 and was invited to the famous Taganka Theatre as an actress. Performed in the legendary productions by Yury Liubimov, such as: ‘Crime and Punishment’ (after Fyodor Dostoevsky) and ‘Master and and Margarita’ (after Mikhail Bulgakov).

Laureate of several national competitions for the narrators. Natalya often performs in poetry-readings.

Since 1997 Natalya Kovaleva runs master-classes on the acting art. In 2002, worked as an acting-couch in Denmark. In 2007-2008, she was the speech-tutor in South Korea. In 2009-2011, Natalya worked with students from the UK and produced several shows with them.

Natalya Kovaleva also prepares professional publications on the questions of poetry, scenic speech and theatre art.

At the Vakhtangov theatre, Natalya Kovaleva produced two plays: ‘Our class’ (after Tadeusz Slobodzianek, 2016) and ‘Enchanted wanderer’ (after Nikolay Leskov, 2017).
