Ivan Solovyev

Ivan Andreevich Solovyev was born on 11 September 1911.He graduated from the Vakhtangov Theatre School (1930, 1932-35).He worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre from 1935 till 1947.Being an outstanding Russian actor, he could play any role — either sharp or tragic characters. He played Nonankur in “The Straw Hat” as well as Bobchinsky in “The Government Inspector” brilliantly, and playing in episodes vividly, he always amazed his partners and audience by his astonishing fantasy, good sense of humour and talent for improvisation.
