Alexander Khmara

Alexander Mikhailovich Khmara was born on 17 January 1894 in Poltava.Graduated from Vakhtangov Studio (1925-1928).Worked at the Mascow Art Theatre (1915-1920, 1942-1943).From 1925 till 1956 worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre. He was an uncommonly witty man and actor, played more than 30 partes. He played guitar brilliantly and sometimes during parties accompanied Fyodor Shalyapin. He also sang excellently.Alexander Mikhailovich Khmara died in 1987.
