Vladimir Osenev

People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Ivanovich Osenev was born on 8 September 1908.In 1928 he graduated from the Moscow Plekhanov Industrial and Economic College and the Taneyev Music School.He also attended Sovtorgsluzxhaschiy Theatre Studio.In 1930-1933 he worked at the Sverdlovsk Young Generation Theatre.In 1933 he entered the second year of the Vakhtangov Theatre School.He worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre from 1937 till 1977.He is one of the Vakhtangov Theatre legendary masters. Brilliantly playing vaudeville and comic parts, Vladimir Osenev had a good sense of humour, was flexible and graceful. He was a virtuosic master of mise-en-scene.Vladimir Ivanovich Osenev died on 1 April 1977.
