Don Quixote (1941)
During the prewar season several performances were put on stage in the theatre. Among them is “Don Quixote” by Mikhail Bulgakov (based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes). Bulgakov had a hard time writing “Don Quixote”, he did it under the pressure of the theatre and died a year before the first night. The performance was put on stage by I. Rapoport, music by T. Khrennikov, poems by P. Antokolsky.
